Really good workout! February 15, 2010

I have been working out for years and decided I wanted a workout video I could do at home if I didn't feel like going to the gym ( bad weather, etc). These DVDs are really hard. I consider myself to be in great shape and I had to pause them a couple times to catch my breath! You definetly want to use the bar or "amplifer" - Great workout!

The bar stopped locking in place after a month. The pace of most of the DVDs is fair at best but some of the moves, like the baseball at and wrist swivels can hurt if you try to do them at full speed. I like his early workouts better. Some of the moves seem like filler rather than a real workout. Rather than this, get one of the older workouts and hold a dumbell while doing them.

I cannot say enough about Billy Blanks and how much he really interacts with you throughout the videos. I have been repeatedly using the first DVD and it kicks my butt and I love it. It makes you work hard to get back to where you should be and it does it in hyper drive. I have not worked out in at least 15 years. I wish that I could personally thank Billy because I have wanted something that would encourage me to reach my personal best and that is what Billy Blanks does with this "GET AMPED" version. I feel great and more balanced and centered just after three days of using it every other day. I am going to switch to everyday starting today and I cannot tell you how proud I am of myself and how excited I am with that great feeling of accomplishment. My family is amazed that I am really doing this and I love working out with my daughter at the same time. Anyone who has anything negative to say about this product should be doing Cross Fit instead. This product is for the rest of us who know a great thing when we see and FEEL IT!!!

Excellent-hard and too fast at times-but excellent nonetheless August 5, 2009

It's so hard and I do agree that some amped parts are way too fast. It concerns most because I wouldn't want to get injured, but other than that....AMAZING workout. Not so much of a challenge for the legs, but the arms just scream for mercy. I really enjoy the bar, but I have to throw it down sometimes as it gets too difficult to lift one exercise after the other.
And to the lady that made a comment about keeping things only to exercise...GOD BLESS

This product is definitely working for me. Although at first the exercises were difficult to follow, mainly because I was very unfit, after a week I was able to see results already. The "amplifier" is a great tool, which truly gives you a successful workout!
